“Painting is the best medium to express my passions, feelings and dreams". - Sarah I. Avni

Pastel colours, passionate designs, luxurious finish and ingenious details are some of the characteristics of young, no doubt very talented Slovak artist Sarah I. Avni. Her work is like herself - charming, optimistic, withstanding negativities and chaos of today. A captivating effect is also enhanced by the uplifting feeling of joy that you do not need any team of psychologists explaining state of mind of the author to understand these paintings. The message is clear: "Themes of my paintings are not abstract but specific, and their intention is not to provoke or offend, just the opposite – to create a positive impression. I work only when I am full of positive emotions so that I do not transmit my little sorrows to other people".

Sarah graduated from Secondary Graphic Art School in Jihlava (Czech Republic), where she focused on painting, drawing and photography. Finally, led by the academic sculptor Dušan Mock, she focused exclusively on painting, "because for me, it is the best medium to express my passions, feelings and dreams".

In her work, you will discover a wide range of themes, such as exotic animals and flowers, imaginative floor plans of world cities formed the basis of maps and satellite images from Google, gilded angel wings, emerald and ruby plates, but also realistic oil paintings of mothers with children. There are very interesting techniques used, including not only traditional oil and acrylic paintings, but oil paintings made using old-master gilding technique as well.

What does make the work of Sarah I. Avni different from works of other contemporary artists? Besides those optimistic themes it is particularly: "the original painting technique combined with non-traditional materials such as gold, precious stones, mirrors or sand".

Sarah Avni cleverly combines her work with marketing of various companies, doing so in the most non-violent way. Maps of places, where the precious stones and Swarovski crystals highlight projects or premises, are not only beautiful interior accessories but an unusual gift or promotional material, too. They catch one's attention and imprint in the memory of potential customers and business partners. This way of promoting has been used by international companies like Kia Motors, developer Lighthouse Group, or Holiday Inn. The fact that this young artist cannot be fitted into the cushions of just one artistic direction is confirmed by her achievements in the field of artistic photography. That is where she worked prior to her decision to fully dedicate herself to fine art.  Versatile artistic talent has led her to the authorship of the official stamp of the Slovak Post issued on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. This stamp was ranked No. 1 by Stamp news magazine in the Top 10 most interesting sport stamps of the world ranking in 2010.

Unlike many artists, Sarah is also very happy to paint on request, which allows her clients not only to complement home or office interior with "tailored" painting, but even to materialize and to perfection bring their specific artistic visions and aspirations.

She firstly entered into the consciousness of the Slovak public in August 2011 with her first exhibition in the SPP Gallery in Bratislava, which was followed by a second exhibition in a Shopping Center Galerie Harfa in Prague, Czech Republic. Proverbial icing on the cake will be "an exhibition at the turn of September and October 2012 at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava organized in collaboration with sculptor Miro Rudavský, Jr.". Vernissage will be officially opened by the Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič.

That the paintings of Sarah I. Avni are unique and extremely attractive and that they are of great value as a heritage and a reference for future generations is also confirmed by several major art collectors at home and abroad who have included her work in their private collections.
